Ethical Woodworking: Our Promise to Sustainable Practices
At JCNB Crafts Ltd, we take great pride in our service. As a family-run business with over 35 years of woodworking experience, we focus on the quality and care of every order. We prioritise our customers' needs and believe each handmade item will be cherished for years.
We ensure the quality of wood and product by sourcing our material from an FSC certified company (read more here from the FSC website). I have included a short paragraph below from the FSC website as well, in case you don’t have time to browse their website.
“The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. Since its foundation in 1994, FSC has grown to become the world’s most respected and widespread forest certification system. In short, a product can be certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), which means it meets the "gold standard" ethical production. The wood is harvested from forests that are responsibly managed, socially beneficial, environmentally conscious, and economically viable.”
To further solidify our commitment to change and in an aim to see a sustainable future, we are donating a percentage of every order to Trees for the Future and One Tree Planted. Our goal is to give back from every piece of wood we sell.
Trees for the Future confronts hunger, poverty, and environmental degradation by serving the people at the heart of our global food systems: farmers and their families.
